McKee's Indian Store Launches Summer Fun Campaign and Invites You to Be Part of It

The beloved Anadarko staple is rewarding customers with store credit, creative collaborations, and a whole lot of community spirit through July 31

If you've been looking for a reason to visit one of western Oklahoma's most treasured cultural landmarks, McKee's Indian Store in Anadarko just gave you three of them and a shot at earning free store credit while you're at it. 

The Caddo-owned store, established in 1962 and a cornerstone of the Anadarko community ever since, has launched its Summer Fun Campaign, a creative initiative running from May 1 through July 31, 2026. The campaign celebrates the store's deep roots in Native art, craft, and community by turning customers into collaborators and creators.

"Where your work begins" and this summer, McKee's is making sure that spirit extends well beyond the checkout counter.

For those unfamiliar, McKee's is a must-stop destination for anyone passionate about beadwork, regalia, jewelry, and Native artwork. The store carries an exceptional inventory of beads and findings from intricate seed beads to leather and fabric alongside stunning pieces made by local and regional artists. One of its crown jewels is a walk-in Pendleton room, stocked with the iconic wool blankets and textiles that have long been central to Native American tradition and style. Whether you're shopping for a birthday, a powwow, a creative project, or simply a meaningful gift, the friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere make every visit feel like coming home.

Three ways to earn store credit this summer: The campaign gives shoppers multiple paths to rewards. The first is the Weekly Video Winner contest — customers post a high-quality video on social media showing what they made using McKee's products, tagging @mckeesindianstore and using #MadeWithMckees. One winner is selected each week. The second is a creative collaboration called Create With Us, where customers with a video idea can come in or message the store — McKee's will work with them to bring the concept to life inside the store itself. The third is the Review & Reward punch card program, available in-store only: leave a review at checkout, receive a punch on your card, and after 10 punches, earn a store credit reward.

All content must be creative, family-friendly, and approved by the store. The campaign continues through July 31 or until the "fun budget" is exhausted, as the store cheerfully notes on the flyer.
