The Caddo Nation Election Board has announced a Special Election for the Fort Cobb District Representative following a tie vote in the July 11, 2026 General Election.

According to the Election Board's official certification of results, Arline Kay O'Neal and Michael D. Attocknie each received five (5) votes, resulting in a tie for the Fort Cobb District Representative seat. Because no candidate received more votes than the other, a Special Election has been called to determine the district's representative.

Special Election Details

  • Election Date: Saturday, September 19, 2026

  • Voting Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

  • Voting Method: In-person voting only

District Representative elections are conducted exclusively through in-person voting under the Caddo Nation Election Ordinance. Absentee ballots are available only for the offices of Tribal Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary, and Treasurer, and do not include District Representative races.

Voter Registration Information

To protect the integrity of the Special Election, the Election Board will use the same Fort Cobb District voter registration list that was used for the July 11, 2026 General Election. This ensures that voters who participated in the General Election cannot change districts before the Special Election.

The Election Board will continue accepting:

  • New voter registration applications

  • Address changes

  • District transfer requests

  • Other election forms

However, all updates will be processed after the Special Election, with one exception: new voter registration applications from individuals who have never voted in any previous Caddo Nation election will continue to be processed.
